TASKFLOW

Intro

TaskFlow is a modern productivity dashboard designed to help users stay organized, track progress, and maintain focus throughout the week. The goal was to create a clean, intuitive interface that feels professional yet motivating — blending structure and energy through a minimalist layout and a warm orange accent. As the sole UX/UI Designer and Researcher, I handled everything from early research and wireframes to high-fidelity design and prototyping in Figma. This project represents my approach to UX design: balancing clarity, emotion, and usability to create experiences that simplify daily workflows.

Challenge

Most productivity tools feel cluttered and overwhelming, filled with too many features that distract from the main goal — getting things done. The challenge was to create a dashboard that feels light, rewarding, and clear. I wanted users to see their progress at a glance, plan their day effortlessly, and feel motivated without being overloaded by options.

Research

To guide the design, I studied tools like Notion, Asana, and ClickUp, analyzing how they manage hierarchy, visual density, and motivation cues. Through this, I identified two key needs: clarity — quick access to priorities without visual noise, and motivation — subtle design details that make users want to come back daily. These insights shaped the foundation for TaskFlow: focus, flow, and simplicity.

Design

The design process started with low-fidelity wireframes to establish a logical structure. After testing several layouts, I settled on a split dashboard — navigation on the left, tasks and progress at the center, backlog on the right. The visual style combines clean typography (Inter), rounded components, and a warm orange highlight (#FF8C42) for contrast and energy. I focused on accessibility and readability, ensuring harmony between visuals and function. Each element was crafted to feel modern, intuitive, and balanced.

Final Product

The final interface provides a complete yet calm overview of a user’s productivity. It highlights progress with visual charts, shows upcoming and completed tasks, and syncs seamlessly with the weekly calendar. The UI maintains a clean dark sidebar and light workspace for visual balance, while subtle shadows and gradients add depth. Every detail — from spacing to motion — was refined to make productivity feel simple, not stressful.

Outcome

TaskFlow successfully merges aesthetics and function into a daily productivity companion. It helped me strengthen my sense of visual hierarchy, flow design, and emotional engagement through minimalism. The end result feels clear, motivating, and purposeful — a product that reflects my belief that good design should make life easier, not busier. See the full design process on Behance.
