Ophelia is a floral delivery app built around one simple idea — making it easy to send beauty and meaning with just a few taps. I wanted the design to feel warm, effortless, and personal, like a small boutique that remembers your story. As the UX/UI Designer and Visual Stylist, I handled everything from research and flow mapping to branding and high-fidelity design in Figma. This project was my way of exploring how emotion and simplicity can work together to create a memorable shopping experience.
Challenge
Most flower delivery apps feel rushed and transactional. They show you products, not feelings. My goal was to design an experience that slows things down — where users can enjoy browsing, feel inspired, and connect with each bouquet’s personality. It had to be functional, yes, but also human.
Research
I studied apps like 1-800-Flowers and Bloom & Wild, and spoke with people who regularly send flowers. What stood out? Everyone talked about moments — birthdays, apologies, gratitude — not just the flowers themselves.
That insight changed everything. The app needed to reflect emotions first, products second. I built user flows around ease and intention — quick to use, but still meaningful.
Design
The look and feel of Ophelia came from nature — soft cream backgrounds, gentle greens, and coral accents for warmth. Every screen is designed with breathing space, clean type, and a rhythm that feels calm.
I used clear hierarchy, emotional photography, and thoughtful motion to make navigation feel smooth, almost like flipping through a book of memories.
Final Product
The final design feels bright, intentional, and welcoming. Users can browse by occasion, customize bouquets, and check out in just a few taps — all while feeling connected to what they’re sending. It’s not just a store; it’s an experience that carries a little emotion in every interaction.
Outcome
Ophelia became one of those projects that reminded me why I design — to build things that feel alive, even on a screen. It’s a soft, human experience that combines clarity with emotion. See the full process on Behance.
