FLEETCOMMAND

Intro

FleetCommand is a self-initiated enterprise fleet management dashboard designed to explore how complex operational data can be transformed into clear, actionable insights. As the sole Product Designer, I led the project from research to high-fidelity execution — defining workflows, structuring data, and building a scalable design system. This project highlights my ability to design data-heavy enterprise interfaces that prioritize clarity, efficiency, and usability.

Challenge

Fleet managers handle large volumes of operational data, time-sensitive alerts, and critical decisions — often across dozens or hundreds of vehicles simultaneously. The challenge was to design a centralized dashboard that transforms complex data into clear, actionable insights. The goal was to enable faster decision-making, reduce cognitive load, and ensure critical information could be understood at a glance.

Research

To guide the design, I explored logistics workflows and analyzed existing fleet platforms to understand how teams monitor vehicles, prioritize incidents, and manage deliveries. This research helped identify three core needs: instant visibility into fleet status, clear prioritization of critical alerts, and efficient access to operational data. These insights directly informed the platform’s structure and interaction model.

Design

I designed the dashboard experience around clarity and hierarchy — ensuring the most critical information surfaces first. The interface features KPI cards for rapid status checks, a live fleet map with color-coded vehicle markers, an alerts panel for immediate action, and a detailed deliveries table with progress tracking. I built a comprehensive design system including a structured color logic for status recognition, accessible typography, consistent spacing, and reusable components — creating a foundation that supports scalability and future product growth. Every element was crafted to improve scannability and enable confident decision-making in high-pressure environments.

Final Product

The final dashboard provides fleet managers with a comprehensive yet intuitive command center. The interface features four key KPI cards, a live map with real-time vehicle positioning, a critical alerts panel highlighting issues needing attention, and a detailed deliveries table with progress visualization. The design system ensures visual consistency across all components while maintaining flexibility for future features. Color-coded status indicators enable instant recognition of vehicle states. The production-ready specifications include exact measurements, spacing, and component documentation for seamless developer handoff.

Outcome

This project strengthened my ability to design complex, data-heavy dashboards and build scalable design systems for enterprise products. It reflects my approach to product design: simplifying complexity, prioritizing usability, and creating interfaces that feel both powerful and intuitive. See the full design process on Behance.
